A post graduate civil engineer with over 42 years of work experience in construction, project management of industrial, infrastructure, institutional and ecology related projects in India and overseas. Team leader, techno-commercially matured professional always leads from the front.
DK has managed large-volume; multi-engineering works i.e. works involving infrastructure, power generation, new technology-oriented works and time-management of construction. He has been part of six green field large projects fully completed, one of them abroad.
Other than business development, DK heads engineering and project management operations. He manages interaction and coordination with client and sub- consultants in the project team, planning, implementation management and supervisory management of multi-disciplinary consultants, involving architecture, engineering and implementation of design systems. A multi-disciplinary team of engineers in office assists him to handle various activities at any time besides various associate consultants.
Prior to venturing in to project management consulting services, DK have managed and participated for Indian companies, in implementation of large socio-economic projects such as sugar factories and process plants (based on raw agricultural waste products), power plants (financially aided by World Bank and Asian Development Bank) in African and Asian countries, such as Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uganda, and rehabilitation of process plants in Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines.
In early days of his career, he worked with Kanvinde & Rai on a green field project in New Delhi, and constructed Ashok Leyland’s Rajasthan Automotive plant and later on deputation, British Leyland’s assembly plant in Iraq.
Rakesh Sood, A.I.I.A. an architect having 24 years extensive experience and a rich diversity in the program and design of architectural projects which includes projects such as commercial, industrial, housing and educational campuses.
He has extensive coordination and management experience with fast-track projects. He has extensive experience in quality control, quality assurance and in mentoring younger professionals. He is also familiar implementation and interpretation of municipal and other construction related codes and bye laws and best standards in India.
His strength lies in the strong relationships that are built with clients over the process of projects and the personal attention that is given to each client.
Rakesh started his career in architecture in 1992 with Jayant Gandhi Associates, Delhi and worked on architectural project which includes projects such as commercial, industrial, housing and educational campuses. In tenure of 9 years with Jayant Gandhi Associates, he has worked on Mauritius high commission in Delhi, Township projects for JK & Laxmi cement, Malana power company Limited and industrial & residential projects for Bhilwara group, Oswal group & Birla group.
Rakesh handles the studio, evaluate and select project consultants, Collaborate with governmental agencies He is involved in all projects from concept stage to successfully completion of projects ensuring that teams meet quality, estimates costs, schedule, contractual, and budget goals.
